Committed to Taking the Gospel to the Kuy
Our friend, Matt died as a result of
injuries sustained in an accident on the way to share the good news
with Kuy people Last October. Matt's widow, Susu has a great burden to
carry on the work with the Kuy people. This month she and some
believing Cambodians, a couple of whom are Kuy themselves, from their
church in Phnom Penh are doing outreaches in Preah Vihear province on
the weekends. Susu is a nurse and desires to use her medical skills to
help in the villages. So, one of the things she and the students are
doing is a house to house community health assessment. They are
including a spiritual section in the assessment. Susu hopes that the
assessment will not only enable them to learn about the needs of the
people but also give them opportunities to build relationships. The
outreach began in the village of Rumchek. They have had a good
reception from the village leader and have freedom to do health
teaching in the village.
Please pray for Susu and her team.
Pray specifically for the village of Rumchek. Praise God for the good
reception they are having. Also pray for wisdom about which other
villages to visit. Some things to pray for are
- good relationships to be built,
- open doors for the gospel,
- households of peace in each village where they will be welcomed,
- house churches to multiply and
- God to raise up more leaders.
